June 27th - "Rediscovering the Bhagavad Gita" - Phoenix Harmony
Before the Old Testament, there was The Bhagavad Gita, one of India's most revered scriptures, depicting the soul's struggle to reclaim its birthright against daunting odds. Although four millennia have passed since the advent of this remarkable dialog on Raja Yoga between the beloved avatar Bhagavan Krishna and his disciple Arjuna, its wisdom remains as fresh and relevant as ever. This will be an abbreviated version of a workshop being offered at SUUSI in July, presented by our own Phoenix Harmony. As she reread the Gita, she was again struck by its astounding insights into Ultimate Truth, which inspired her to re-introduce it to others.
Note: To delve more deeply into the Gita's wisdom, join the discussion group forming around it subsequent to today's sermon. Contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information, or to sign up.
