Music

Music is a fundamental part of the life of UUCG. We welcome any interested singers and musicians who want to share their love of music with our congregation. Music helps us celebrate the joy and communal spirit of our faith community.
UUCG is a part of the Unitarian Universalist Musicians Network.
Every Wednesday from mid-September to late May, we offer a contemplative service from 7:00-7:25 pm. The service is called "Expressions - exploring the connections between the Arts and Spirituality". A fellowship potluck dinner precedes the service each Wednesday at 6:00. All are welcome! See this month's schedule of events on our Worship page.
gr8 tUUnz (Great Tunes) is UUCG's female octet and performs both at church and in the community. If you enjoy barbershop style music, you'll love gr8 tUUnz!
We provide a musical outreach program called "mUUsic on the road", offering hymn-singing and fellowship to members and friends who can't come to church and desire musical attention.
Two Sunday mornings per year are devoted to hymn-singing, once in the fall and again in the spring. We enjoy special holiday music from the choir in December, a jazz service in February, and Music Ministry Sunday in May (Missa Gaia in 2010 and 2011). In addition, the UUCG Music Committee collaborates with a fundraising committee to present 2-3 special concerts per year.
